Williamstead is the beating heart of Curacao. It is the capitol and main city on the island. Williamstead consists of two sides, Otrabanda and Punda (pictured) which are connected by the famous Queen Emma Bridge. Every Thursday there is a nightly celebration called Punda vibes that consists of live music on the streets, fireworks and dancers.
Visit the Chobolo mansion and learn the history of the Curacao Liqueur, how it's made and taste the different flavors of the liqueur. You can also take a mixology class there and shake up some delicious drinks using the world-famous blue Curacao liqueur.
Mambo beach is one of the most visited beaches on the island. Parties and events are regularly held here especially on the weekends.
There is also the Mambo Beach boulevard with restaurants, beach bars, shopping and more steps away from the white sand beach.
Walking around Curacao, especially in Williamstead, there is beautiful art everywhere you turn. You can take a self-guided walking art tour o just see the murals as you stroll through the streets.
