Dominica is a popular location for hiking, with over 300 miles of trails that vary in difficulty. The Waitukubuli National Trail offers easy hikes suitable for all ages and skill levels, while the Morne Trois Pitons National Park has challenging hikes for experienced hikers. The island's scenery includes rainforests, waterfalls, and volcanic peaks.
Although Dominica is not a beach destination, it does have beaches with white, black, golden and salt & pepper sands. A popular beach for cruises is Mero beach. The beaches on the Caribbean Sea side are for swimming, and watersports. The beaches on the Atlantic ocean side are for picnics and pics, due to the rough waters.
